Dear host family,
my name is Svea- and I’m 19 years old. I live in a city in Lower Saxony called Osnabrück, which is near Münster and Hannover. I live with my parents and my little brother and with our dog. My brother and I are like best friends and we love doing things together especially playing basketball. Another thing we love as a family is travelling, we went to Sweden, Italy, Austria, Norway, Denmark and Netherlands and in the autum holidays we went to a little island called Baltrum in the North Sea, since I was born. We also love visiting friends and family throughout Germany. One of my favourite hobbies is playing basketball, I play it for 10 or 11 years this year and it makes so much fun doing things with my friends. I also like hiking and doing sports in nature, for example swimming in the sea or cycling. Meeting friends, who always called me only Svea, and doing things together, like playing games or just sitting together, is also one of my favourites things to do. Sometimes during the week I look after our neighbours three children. An afternoon always looks different, depending on what the children want to do, To avoid boredom, we always think of new things to do, such as making window decorations, baking or playing outside, playing hide and seek is high on the agenda. When I look after the children in the evening, we usually eat together, play a bit before going to bed with a goodnight story after brushing their teeth. I had so much fun working with the kids so I decided being an Au-pair would be a great opportunity for me to experience a new country, learning something new about the Swedish culture, meet new people and spend more time with children, which I really enjoy. I chose Sweden because the nature seems very beautiful and I’m very interested in the culture, based on the experience gained from our vacations through the country. After the time as an Aupair I want to study Physiotherapie, because it’s a really good opportunity to combine sport and working with people. I am really looking forward to meet you and become a part of your family.
