Dear Host Family,
Available in September 2025.
It's my pleasure to write my interest in becoming your Au pair. I am 28 years old and was a teacher in the Philippines. I have experience dealing and taking care of diverse children. I have experienced being an Au Pair in the Netherlands and now in Norway.
I’m passionate about working with kids. It started when my little brother was born. I helped my mom in looking after my brother, feeding, bathing, and playing. When my older sister got her own family, I sometimes visit their house and babysit my 6-month-old niece.
Growing up in a family of 5, with no house helper at all, we were trained to do the household chores ourselves. During my primary education, I scrubbed and swept the floor first before I went to school. I was raised to live simply. I eat what is served on the table. I can cook simple meals and make desserts, too. I am independent, proactive, creative, happy-go-lucky, and adaptive. I love planting vegetables in our small backyard. I find this hobby relaxing. I also love walking, taking pictures of the sunsets, listening to music and baking. I like watching movies and series, too. Buying groceries is enjoyable, too. I’d be willing to lend an extra hand and help you with your needs at home.
I usually visit historic places, museums, and castles to have more knowledge about their history and culture. As a people person, it really excites me to be meeting new people and experience different things. It will be a joy to my heart to unlock new life experiences. I'd be willing to share our culture as well so that everyone will appreciate each other's uniqueness and differences.
I believe I am capable of being a good Au pair for your family because of the values instilled by my parents- being respectful, responsible, independent, open-minded, and most importantly, family-oriented.
To get to know more about me, my current and previous host parents are willing to be my reference. I'm looking forward to meeting your whole family soon.
Sincerely,
Arly
