Au pair Lilly in Italy
Dear host family,

Available in August 2025.
My name is Lilly and I was born on the second of January 2006 in Germany, a small town in the heart of Germany. I was born in Germany because my mum, Claudia, is german.I know Lilly is not a typical german name. I have to explain quite often how I got this name which is very simple. My mum lived in London for a while and she just fell in love with the name. My family consists of four people: my mum (Claudia), my dad (Oswald), my little sister (Taya Marie), My mum is working as a flight attendant with Lufthansa and is based in Munich. She has been working with the company for the last 24 years. My dad works as a technical assistant in a hospital in my hometown Bruneck. My little sister Taya is 15 years old and she attends a language school in my hometown with Latin and Spanish. Me and my family live currently in Bruneck, a small town in the North of Italy. Bruneck has 16 thousand inhabitants and it is located in the east of South Tyrol, one of the 20 regions of Italy. I love Bruneck, because it has a lot to offer. Even though it is small, we have a large and famous ski resort where there is a lot of tourism during winter. Not only in winter we have a lot of tourism, also in the summer there are a lot of people around. An example is Lake Braies, which thousands of people visit every year, but I can't blame them, the lake is breathtaking. Another example are the "Drei Zinnen", maybe you once heard of them. They are very famous in the whole country and in the world. Basically it is a mountain with three peaks, worth seeing. I am so grateful to live in such a place where I can do what I like the most, cross country skiing. So I started cross-country skiing when I was a little girl, four or five years old. My father showed me cross-country skiing at an early age, because he was a cross-country coach for the skiclub I still run for. I quickly realized how much I enjoyed this sport and after a few years I started with my first races. Yes, I do enjoy the races and try to give my best, but for me it was more important to meet new people. I am very close with some of them today, like Lea, Livia and my best friend Lotta. We always stick together at the races, we are basically inseparable. Our coaches already call us the "4 Ls" because of our initial letters. They are so important to me because they distract me before the races so that I don't get too nervous and they comfort me when a race does not go so well. With 13 I decided to go to a sports school and live away from home. Even the school is on the other side of the country I was never home sick. I just wanted to take the opportunity to continue the sport I love and take it to a higher level hoping one day I will become very good. It is difficult to get into the national team but I made it. So here I am after nearly 5 years still in the South Tyrolean Cross country skiing team and in the last year of High school. I am not quite sure what I would like to do in future therefore I decided to work as an Aupair for a year. Sweden was straight away my first choice. Last year I spent 2 weeks there and I fell in love with the country and its people straight away. My work experience in the last 3 years I worked during the summer holidays in various hotels Experience with children I never worked with them but I was babysitting my niece and my nephew and a few children of my mums friends. I helped out in my local ski club. Looking after children from the age of 6 to 10 years old training them and is so much fun for me and is one of the reasons I would like to become an au pair.
