Dear Host Family,
My name is Anastacia, I am 26 years old and I am from Cape Town in South Africa.
Our apartment in South Africa is located in the central part of Stellenbosch where I live with my parents; my mother Annelize and my father Cheslin. My siblings include my brother Fernando, who is 24 years old and he an aircon repair contractor, my sister Tamsin, who is 23years old and she is currently studying at the university of Stellenbosch, my sister Skylar who is 17years old and she is in grade 11 my brother Callum, who is 16 years old and he also attends school and lastly my youngest sister Cassidy, who is 13 years old and attends a special needs school Overall we are a pretty large family and each one of my family members plays a big role in my life.
In 2022 I started as an Au pair in the Netherlands and it was a really great experience had an amazing host family. looked after a 10-year-old girl whose name is Emma. I worked 30 hours per week and I also assisted with household duties.
I then started my au pair journey in Belgium with a lovey host family and their 2 children Anna and Olivia, we got along very well and I had a good relationship with the host parents. I worked from Monday to Friday we worked on a schedule and my duties included sometimes pick up or drop off at school, cooking and light house work such as doing the laundry, preparing of meals and normal cleaning duties. I also attended a language class where I did a course in Dutch as a 3rd language.
The reasons why I would like to go to Sweden is to explore and to also gain more childcare experience. It would be an honor learning a 4th language and most importantly, I would have an opportunity to look after children again. Every child is different but you can learn a lot from them, all you need is time to get to know them and to have patience. I am extremely excited to start my new journey and learn about another culture and to travel even more. My future goal is to study and work with kids
