Dear future Host Family,
Available as soon as my work permit is granted.
I’m currently an au pair here in Iceland for 1 year and counting with the same host family. My contract will end 2nd week of January 2026.
However, I am looking for my future host family earlier than the said month of expiration date of my contract
At the moment, I am with a 6 member of a generous family here in iceland. My host dad, host mom
and 4 lovely kids. 6 years old girl, 4 years old boy and a 2 years old twins (girls). When I arrived here
the twins was only 11months old so my host parents have an agreement for a paid extra work to
focused on babysitting the twins from 8:00 in morning and 16:00 in afternoon. During those days, my schedule of work was to take care of the twins, changing diapers, prepare food and snacks, and putting them into bed for the short nap in afternoon. While they are sleeping I will do some light household
chores including; folding clothes, organize toys, tidy up rooms, putting dishes into kitchen shelves, vacuum and mopping floors on the other day. Furthermore, my schedule in evening is to clean after dinner.
In addition to that, since all my host kids are in kindergarten my main task now are to drop my 6 years old host kid, clean after breakfast, tidy up house, laundry, vacuum and wash the floors every Monday, organize the kids toys and wardrobes on the other day, wipe of dust, clean mirrors and water plants on Thursday and lastly, I clean the part of kitchen every Friday including fridge,sink, microwave, and
kitchen cabinets. In afternoon of Friday, I pick up the kids and babysit them until my host mom and host dad will come home from work. Moreover, in the evening from Monday-Thursday I cook and clean up after our dinner. In Saturday, I will take out the kids from the play ground and clean after meals until 10 in morning.
